ON THE INSIDE
Down insulation
Ounce for ounce, down continues to be the most thermally effective and warmest insulation available. Down insulation is a specialty of Hobo Clothing Company and is recommended to customers whose outerwear will be worn in the colder climes of North America.
Fleece lining
Hobo's fleece-lined products are manufactured with 100 percent polyester fleece - providing the greatest pill resistance and lightweight warmth. Fleece makes a superb lining for Hobo's 3-in-1 outerwear.
Nylon jacket lining
The most-utilized outerwear lining, nylon provides ease of care, excellent durability and offers a variety of colors. Nylon linings work extremely well in melton wool, melton/leather and leather outerwear.
Quilted polyester lining
An economical insulation option when warmth is a concern, quilted polyester provides both warmth and comfort and can be manufactured in varying densities to provide an effective barrier from the cold.
Sport mesh lining
A stretchable mesh lining that excels at wicking moisture away from the body. Sport mesh is an excellent lining for outerwear jacket shells designed to accommodate a zipped-in lining or zipped-in jacket for colder months.
Thinsulate (TM) lining
Thinsulate thermal insulation is a unique microfibre insulation developed by 3M. Virtually twice as warm as most high-loft insulation, Thinsulate provides all the warmth without the bulk. Hobo uses Thinsulate lining in outerwear that requires a highly effective yet lightweight barrier against the cold.
ON THE OUTSIDE
Bull-twill fabric
Tough and weather resistant bull-twill is a thickly woven outerwear fabric that wears well and looks great.
Commander fabric
Wind and water-resistant Commander is an excellent outerwear fabric that is durable, very serviceable and available in a wide range of colors.
Leather
The ultimate windproof material, there is little that can compare to the wearable qualities of leather outerwear. Hobo Clothing Company uses a variety of leathers from cowhide and nubuck to lambtouch and crushed-cow in creating leather outerwear that receives rave reviews.
Melton
A traditional wool outerwear fabric, weather-resistant melton provides all the comfort, warmth and durability of wool and yet is easy to care for: moisture and spills bead and are easily wiped off.
Microfibre
A luxuriously soft fabric, microfibre is supple and provides excellent water repellency.
Taslan nylon
Often referred to as "the quiet nylon", Taslan is ideal for warm-up and lightweight outerwear. A broad array of colors provides a multitude of options and combinations.
Waterproof, windproof, breathable
Waterproof breathable fabrics are one of the most universally-embraced fabric innovations of the past decade.
